Well, it ain’t over with Coach Locksley’s apology to the Wide Reciever coach. Seem like he is not to popular with officials around the school. Lobo Nation ain’t to proud of him either…Now, if he were 4 – 0 instead of 0 – 4 he might have a little more stroke…Long story short, we may be looking for a football coach…Reckon Coach Leach has any interest? Wonder if Dr. Lou would consider leaving ESPN? Rocky? Franchone? A couple of pro coaches may be interested soon, say the one at Washington or Cleveland….Anyone?…Well, I will consider it for about 75,000 per year, I think that is 10% of the current salary for the head football coach, but then at least the fans could say, “you get what you pay for”….I could not be worst that 0 – 4, could I????Oh well, just a thought…..
In the Albuquerque Journal today, Sept. 30, 2009, in The Lighter Side by Argus Hamilton, he made the following statement. Please read the Albuquerque Journal for the full quote. The following is what really caught my attention, “Liberals live in a parallel universe where the difference between a scandal and a civil right is whether a Republican or a Democrat is caught doing it.” That really is how it is viewed…You know HBO has that liberal Bill Maher guy that is so far out that I cannot watch him…my remote can’t click fast enough when he is on and I get upset with HBO for having someone like him on the air….When did movie stars and entertainers become such experts on politics and world governments? I’ll tell you when, it’s when people like this Bill person start thinking the stars have something worth while to say on those subjects…..Worst still is the audience who believes that crap….
September may beat July for the best month ever for visitors to my site. I have one day left in this month and it looks like it is going to be close…..For your information over 900 of you read over 4500 pages….How nice is that…Most of you don’t leave me comments, but the fact that you keep coming back really pleases me…No kidding, one of these days I am going to say something ‘portant, just you watch…When our children were small, the boss kept some children, younger than ours, for a few days….We had an old Remington typewriter they played with and our two boys were not letting the smaller children play with the typewriter. The older of the two visiting boys, probably 4 or 5 years old, came into the kitchen and told her, “Helen, them boys won’t let us play with none of that ‘portant stuff.”…That’s where I got the term, “‘portant” …..Really, I’m just glad to be here….Thanks for visiting my site…Pete
Uh oh, both the coaches from these two schools got problems….Question is, who’s problem is the biggest…Coach Locksley’s problem is hitting upon his coaches, I think to teach them who’s boss….Coach Leach is mad cause one of his players squealed on him on Twitter for being late to a team meeting, so he banned Twitter and Facebook for all his players..It’s one thing for the coaches to be fighting, but it’s a different story when you get your players upset and stop them from playing with their things…Boys are ”just gonna do that coach”…you in a heap of trouble and New Mexico might just beat you now….I really think you were very upset over the boy squealing on you, so now they gonna make you pay…Well, all I can say is,….. GO LOBOS…….
Last November I had a birthday…When the kids ask me what I want for my birthday I hate to ask for big stuff, but at time they do give me big stuff, especially if the boss tells them I am wanting something…They are great kids and grandkids and give me much more than I deserve. A lot of the time I request Walmart gift cards, so if several of them give me one, shoot a mile, I can end up with a ton of money….Well, long story short, I combined two or three of them last November and bought me a rifle. Then on Sunday I had it out for the first time since my purchase. No. 2 son, No. 2 and No. 3 grandson’s and I went out shooting all our fire arms, We went out to the City of Albuquerque Shooting Range. Man, was that place busy…I had never shot my 12 gauge and does that dang thing kick..We had several guns out there and it was very enjoyable. The guy in the next stall (or what ever you call them) was shooting a cannon. Ear plugs are mandatory, but the shock wave from that thing would almost pick you up. I asked him what he was sighting in….A . 30o mag Weatherby, I think he said, getting ready for Elk season…I asked “which target are you shooting at?” He pointed at a target far, far, away and he was doing pretty good…Must be a bunch of people going hunting for meat this year…They were all doing some serious shooting…One guy said he was going for antelope…I started to tell him about my post that stated there are no antelope in New Mexico….Pronghorns, my friend, they are Pronghorns….but I didn’t…Someone will tell him…
Coach, when you start fighting with your coaches, the season is over, unless you can do some serious mending….Are the New Mexico Lobo’s really No. 120 in the ratings? Is that the bottom? That is a long climb and you are going to need every player and coach you have to make some recovery for this year. Is there anything I can do? About the only thing I am capable of doing at this stage of my life is praying, I do that pretty good….But you know what, I kind of wish I had started praying hard many years ago….What about it coach? If you are not already, maybe that will help out…..Can’t hurt….
New Mexico State Aggies won a tough one last night in Albuquerque…To the Aggies: You guys are 2 – 2 and looked pretty darn good….Next week, San Diego State….You guys can win this one….You are a good team…You beat the Lobo’s…The Lobos were beaten by Tex A & M, but did you see what A & M did to UAB, 56 – 19 and the Lobo’s were beaten by Tulsa, but did you see what they did to Sam Houston ST, 56 – 3 and they were beaten by Air Force, but did you see what they did to San Diego State, a 26 – 14 win….So you see guys…YOU CAN BEAT SAN DIEGO STATE…You really can….
The sports editior did not hold the press last night for the Aggie/Lobo game….said it was a late game, and it was….,but one wonders if the Lobos had won if the paper would have had a score…I am teasing, kind of, it was a hard loss…James Wright pulled a hamstring late in the game after several exciting runs and we had several nice pass plays….Our kicker missed two field goals, in his range and on and on….Well, you know the rest, the Aggies scored with 39 seconds left in the game and came away with a 20 – 17 win..Now the Aggies are 2 – 2 and the Lobos are 0 – 4. Season looks tough…Coach Locksey knows what to do though and he will tighten his belt and get after it. But next week ain’t looking so good either since we got Texas Tech and they are pissed about the 29- 28 loss to Houston…You know coach, sometimes it’s just hard to get things going…Hang in there, coach….
I received a comment the other day, from Russia of all places, telling me I needed to do more unique and interesting posts. I try to do a post every day and you know, its hit and miss as to interesting and probably very seldom, if ever, unique….just since I hooked up with wordpress have I tried to do daily posts and I enjoy doing them…It gives me personal pleasure and I hope it is somewhat entertaining to you….I am going to keep trying to write interesting and unique stuff and hope that one day I make the grade…I enjoy hearing from you, even if it is not a pat on the back, if it will make me better, I need to hear it.
