From my book on the teenage cousins of the 1950 in Pickens County, AL, this chapter is about spending all summer working on a swimming hole and all that happened concerning that particular swimming hole. The story is true, to a point, with the writer taking many liberties and changing some names and maybe altering a few facts here and there….It was a good summer…Some of you Pickens County boys will remember this swimming hole. Our congratulations go out to Serna for winning the Australian Open. Good job. It was noted that no line calls were questioned, or maybe no close calls were made. I did not watch all the match, just parts of it. That girl has a wicked serve, huh? Well, I have given her a hard time over the argument she had with the line judge, but she is a good player…and a rich player..I’m hoping she has another good year…Way to go, Serna….Telling that line judge where you were going to put that ball may have helped though, you think?…..
