…..Ok, folks, this just in from Houston, Tx from friends who live there now, but they still maintain a cabin in the Jemez Mountains. What do you guys think about these ideas. We could be getting hot, huh? I removed the e-mail heading and address, etc. If you have questions I might entice them to parlay a few more tidbits of info to us. Many thanks, Carolyn, and I hope we have provided clues that will help our readers in finding the treasure. Pete…………Here are the messages…….

THANKS PETE ! I GOOGLE MR. FENN AND GOT THE POEM. VERY INTERESTING AND

VERY CHALLENGING TO WHERE THE “TREASURE” IS AND IN WHAT PART OF
NEW MEXICO. ALSO, IT MUST BE CLOSE TO SOME CABINS OR HOMES BECAUSE
OF MR. FENN MENTIONING THE HOME OF BROWN. WHEN HE SAYS, WATER HIGH
THAT TO ME MEANS A WATERFALL. ALSO, AT THE FIRST WHEN HE SAID
AS I HAVE GONE ALONE IN THERE THAT TO ME MEANS HE GOES BEHIND THE
WATERFALL AND INTO A CAVE. I THINK IT COULD BE SODA SPRINGS IN THE
JEMEZ.
IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHERE THE TREASURE IS FOUND.
CAROLYN
PETE,

OF COURSE YOU CAN USE MY CLUES. I DOUBT IF WE WILL BE COMING BACK
JUST TO LOOK FOR THE TREASURE. AND YOU ALSO CAN USE MY NAME TOO.
DO YOU KNOW HOW TO GET THERE ? IT IS REALLY CLOSE TO SANTA FE,
FROM ALBUQUERQUE, GO 550 OUT OF BERNALILLO TO SAN YSIDRO AND THEN TAKE
HIGHWAY 4 TO JEMEZ SPRINGS.

THERE WILL BE A FORK IN THE ROAD AT SAN YSIDRO AND TAKE THE RIGHT ROAD WHICH IS HWY. 4.
AND ON UP. I LOOKED JEMEZ SPRINGS UP IN OUR TRIPLE A TOUR BOOK,
AND THIS IS THE DECRIPTION OF JEMEZ SPRINGS. (ABOUT 13 MILES NORTH OF
JEMEZ PUEBLO,THE HOT MINERAL WATERS AT JEMEZ SPRINGS ATTRACTED
SPAINISH EXPLORERS, PUEBLO DWELLERS, COWBOYS, MINERS AND
PIONEERS. A BATH HOUSE BUILT HERE IN THE 1870’S CONTINUES TO SERVE WEARY TRAVELERS.
FIVE MILES NORTH ARE THE SODA DAM AND BATTLESHIP ROCK FORMATIONS. THERE ARE
PICNIC FACILITIES AT BATTLESHIP ROCK, AND TROUT FISHING.

BEING CLOSE TO SANTA FE YOU GO FROM SANTA FE TO LOS ALAMOS AND THEN
CUT THROUGH TO HIGHWAY 4. VERY INTERESTING ! MR. FENN MIGHT OF GONE THAT WAY SINCE
HE IS FROM SANTA FE. IT WOULDN’T BE THAT FAR AT ALL. JUST 285 TO 502 TO HIGHWAY 4 AND
THEN TO SODA DAM. LOOK AT YOUR MAP AND SEE IF THAT IS WHAT YOU THINK.

THANKS, THIS HAS BEEN FUN. WISH YOU ALL “GOOD LUCK.”
CAROLYN
Carolyn, May I use your clues on the web site… Thanks, Pete
