I still get inquires on the Nudist Baptist Church, Tyler, Tx that I posted a few years ago. I heard it was a hoax later so I may have aided someone hoping to cause trouble or just get some publicity. I hope not…But anyway, here is my later posting that I had hoped all of Tyler, Tx would see, especially the Christian community. I am a Baptist by birth, or maybe I should say rebirth and have a deep love for Jesus. No harm was ever intended….so my Tyler brothers and sister, my love to you all….

Tyler, TX…A Wonderful City

You know, I did a post on the Calvary Nudist Baptist Church, Tyler, TX, then a couple of days later I did an update to mention the good folk at The Calvary Baptist Church, Tyler, TX, but I didn’t really finish the story like I should have. First, my son and his family used to live there…He worked in a paint store and some of the folks in the painting business may remember him…He loved it there and I was down to see him a few times…We fished in some of the lakes around there, a wonderful place to fish, several nice lakes in the area…We met some of his neighbors and I think his family may have a few friends left there. It is a good town, a nice place to raise a family and very nice people. I truly hope my publishing the bit on the Nudist Church, which may be a hoax, did not come across as negative from me because I never intended for it to sound that way…Anyway, folks down Tyler way, I know you and know about you and forgive me if I produced any negative publicity for your beautiful city….thanks, Pete Hester

Nudity!!! Now I know that Baptists have everything. It may have been a hoax. I hope it was, but the nudity part is likely a fact, even though it may have originated only in the mind. Since religion, namely Christianity, originates in the mind, the entire concept is despicable and contrary to the purpose of any religion, most certainly to the purpose of Christianity. There is nothing harmful about showing the human body in any degree of nudity because it is a work of art, a work of beauty, and it was God made. The only problem with nudity, especially with respect to the Church, is that it is likely degraded to the baser human level, leaving out the beauty and respect that God intended while emphasizing the sexual, reproductive, and baser instinct of man.

In this posting my goal was to let the people who had visited my site know that I had no intent to hurt any ones feelings or to create any further negatives that could have been caused by an earlier posting. I don’t think any of the Baptist churches in the area had any dealings with nudist…And my posting is an apology if I did offend someone living there.
