Anti-Christ…Now Coming On Our Scene?

We have new world leaders in lots of countries now and some more on the way. Is the Anti-Christ among them? Considering the condition of the world today, he could be close to making a world wide appearance, if he has not already. I do not think the Anti-Christ will be from America. From a biblical point of view, I don’t think we will figure into the leadership role in this one. I think he will be from one of those countries right in the middle of all the fighting we see in the war torn middle east countries today, making a temporary peace and wowing all of the world with his peace making abilities before becoming the devil’s advocate and showing his true colors. No, I have not received a revelation or anything like that and truly only God knows……But He said to watch….and be ready….gloom and doom I’m not. But the world is a’changing folks and I’m not sure how long God waits before He steps in for the final chapter of this old world.

I am getting very tired of reading Anti-Christ just about everywhere I look. There is no such person as the Anti-Christ. There is only The Christ. The word Anti-Christ occurs only once in the entire Bible and that is in the least canonical of all the books of the Bible; that is, it occurs in the book that had the most difficulty in becoming accepted into the Canon; and it is the one that least likely originated either with our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth or with any of His Disciples. Jesus Christ came to this earth to bring tidings of good news. He did not come to produce an Anti-Christ or any other tidings other than the good news that a knowledge of Jesus Christ and His Father and the Holy Spirit means to the salvation of mankind. There always was an Anti-Christ. The real Anti-Christ is Satan, the devil, and that Fallen Angel whose grand scheme is to destroy God’s Great Creation by winning over as much of the Kingdom of God as he can and to establish his own kingdom of Hell to the doom of mankind created by God. The Anti-Christ is not God. He is not even a god, but a fallen angel whom God created. He was created by God, but he fell from Grace through excessive ambition and greed, who can not create a Kingdom of his own; therefore, in order to satisfy his ambition, he must steal one that has already been created by deceit, by greed, and by subterfuge. The entire premise of the Bible is a revelation of the story of the progress of mankind’s ability to escape the clutches of this fallen angel and remain faithful to the true Creator by living a life that God, Our Maker, originally intended for Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. So, there are many new leaders in the world today. Sure! Things are looking bad to mere man who is looking at the world as though looking at the world through very dark glasses with an incomplete understanding. Only God can know the real extent of the worldly condition because only God knows the true condition of the heart of man. The best that we can do is to make the best decision we can with the knowledge and the understanding that we have, accept the consequences, and hope for a better future for all mankind and the world we live in.

Well,, just keep on getting tired my friend, cause it ain’t changing…you gonna keep on hearing it. sorry, because he is coming. Maybe you better read 1st John and 2nd John again. And you do not have to preach Jesus The Christ to me. I am a believer in Jesus Christ. I am a believer in Satan who is just a real as Jesus and the second most powerful in the universe…You know that and have written that and I could probably go back in my comment sections and find where you have written about the anti-Christ.

For your information, the Epistle of First John and the Epistle of Second John are the exact two books of the Bible that had the most difficulty in gaining acceptance into the Canon. These two books almost didn’t make it at all. All of the first councils of the Church rejected them until they were finally accepted at the Council of Chalcedon, which occurred at a late date after all the Apostles of Jesus Christ were all dead and the Christian descendants of the dispersion throughout the world were firmly in control. The Epistles of John had no connection with John the Apostle because both of them were written late after John had already died. At best, these two books were only written by students and followers of John the Apostle who used the name of their teacher and favorite apostle only to gain an acceptance of their writings, which was a common practice in that day. The use of the term “Anti-Christ” in Second John is not a prediction of the occurrence of a future individual, but it is a figurative description of an extant movement in the writers’ own time that was against Christ, His followers, believers, and the one true Church. The term Church was not used until the time of the Emperor Constantine, who accepted Christianity and made it a legal religion in the Roman Empire. Before Constantine, the “Church” was simply a rag-tag group of underground believers who struggled to keep their belief in Jesus Christ intact and pure. In order to do so, this rag-tag group of banned believers seated the Councils of Nicea, Ephesus, and Chalcedon in order to establish the true Canon drawn as best as they good from the true teachings of Jesus Christ and His Apostles. It was the Emperor Constantine, after he became a Christian, who established Christianity as the Roman Catholic Church, which, at that time included both the eastern and the western churches, that is the church universal. Although schisms occurred after Constantine causing the formation of the Eastern (Orthodox) and Western (Roman) as well as the later Protestant Reformation and its multiple schisms and splintered up churches, the Church of Jesus Christ is still the Universal Church, completely united in Christ, yet divided in polity and practice just as the world and its people are varied and divided. United we stand in Christ, yet divided in polity and worship practices.

I don’t know the Canon…I know the Bible and what it says, which is “this is My Word and it will not return to me void”. Did He say that or not? So, not one jot nor iota is wrong. That is all I need to know. You seem to know a lot more that I do but whatever is inside me is not going away. No matter what your Canon says, it is there, The bible said it and I believe it. Please be very careful picking and choosing what you want to believe out of the bible.

Roman Catholicism[edit]

Fulton J. Sheen, a Roman Catholic bishop, wrote in 1951:[51][52]

The Antichrist will not be so called; otherwise he would have no followers…he will come disguised as the Great Humanitarian; he will talk peace, prosperity and plenty not as means to lead us to God, but as ends in themselves…He will tempt Christians with the same three temptations with which he tempted Christ… He will have one great secret which he will tell to no one: he will not believe in God. Because his religion will be brotherhood without the fatherhood of God, he will deceive even the elect. He will set up a counterchurch … It will have all the notes and characteristics of the Church, but in reverse and emptied of its divine content. It will be a mystical body of the Antichrist that will in all externals resemble the mystical body of Christ.

Amen to Bishop Sheen! But that is not to say that the Antichrist is or will be a specific individual but many individuals, even a movement, against the Church of Jesus Christ which is Satanic in nature. The Canon is the Holy Bible. They are one and the same. But it always helps to understand how the Holy Bible came into being. God did not violate His own laws of nature to bring it to us, but he worked through fellable men of many stripes over the centuries to bring His message to us, thus Jesus had to be born of a woman, as you and I were born, grow up in the real world, like Coal Fire, a sawmilling and farming community or Nazareth, a fishing community. He had to learn and be educated in this environment while growing to adulthood, crossing the authorities that be in His day, and die an unjust cruel, cruel death, as my brother Alan did at the hands of the authorities in Alabama alone and suffering in an Alabama prison cell as Christ was alone and suffering on Calvary. I am not comparing the two as equivalent because they certainly are not, but we all suffer in life in our own way. I am not picking and choosing what to believe in the Holy Bible, as I believe it all (though I do not understand it all). I only spent three years in a Theological Seminary and subsequently a lifetime in trying to understand how God brought it to us and how it came into being and how it has endured against so much opposition.

The great deceiver is one man…. in all of the schooling you had I am surprised you did not learn that. And there will be one of his strong deputies that will precede him and get the world ready for him. I think I learned that at Coalfire Biptist Church. Your brother Alan believed that also. I don’t know if he learned it in prison or at Coalfire. I appreciate you and all your knowledge….but there is an anti-Christ…one…real…person….he probably is already here..thanks for your comments…

Pete, I think we are both writing the same thing and believing the same thing in essence, only having different understandings of the antichrist, There are as many understandings of the antichrist as there are Christians in the world, but that is not to say that any of them are absolutely wrong beyond correction, or absolutely right for that matter. The corrections will occur at the time of the consummation of all things. My understanding of the antichrist attempts to satisfy me, but not completely, which is the reason I continue to study and to search for the real truth. I hope that the same is happening with you also. I bet old Alan knows the real truth by now as it will one time be revealed to all of us who finally make it to the actual presence of God one day.

It is very difficult to teach old dogs new tricks. I believe. Jesus knows. I will one day know. I wait.
