Ok, the warming trend has hit Albuquerque…Of course, it’s June and that is our warmest month of the year typically. But it’s nice. One thing about New Mexico, after dark this old desert cools down very quickly. I sleep under a comforter at night it is so cool. Nice, huh? If the humidity picks up, then not so much. Seldom does the humidity pick up. I like warm weather. Good thing, I reckon. Probably stay nice now until about late October….I hope…I really like Albuquerque this time of year. I like these warming trends…

Did you watch the news reports from last night, May 24, and the protesters greeting Trump and his supporters here in Albuquerque. Kind of justified Trumps remarks about the criminal kind that crosses the border and needing to build a wall. I don’t think there were a whole lot of Americans in the protesters, except for a few buddies here and there, as the Mexican flag was flying high and proudly by a few of the protesters.  But, in the supports behalf, they outnumbered the protesters quite a bit, but stayed very cool. They say he had around 8000 or so supporters turn out to hear him speak and only 600 or so criminals (not all the protester’s were involved in the criminal actives)  burning and giving the police a hard time. As far as I know there was no looting. Again, I am not a Trump guy and I don’t care for Hillary, but Trump or Clinton, this is America and our citizens should act like they are citizens. Protesting is alright in this country, burning and looting is not and we fly the American flag. The Mexican flag has no right to be at any of our political meetings. Matter of fact, seeing the  Mexican flag makes me more agreeable to the wall being built. That flag probably fires up a lot of folks. Not only do some people want to get away from Mexico, they want to bring all the bad stuff with them. Go back and fight your own government battles and you can get as mean as you want to there.

I did not realize that a sitting President could do a line item veto on God’s law, but evidently I was wrong….But now it is apparently alright for same sex people to marry. changing God’s law.  ” Man should not lie with another man”, God said. But Obama said, we need to get into the 21st Century and let the same sex people marry if they so desire. It is the right thing to do, he says. So now, what about some of the other laws Mr. President…..How about God saying to put “No other God’s before Me?”  You gonna veto that one. There are a whole bunch of “other God’s” out there…What are you gonna do on that?….Well, I just wondered…..My, my, times are a’changing…Pete Hester

Update:  I was kind of talking to God the other day about the sins of these same sex folks and I kind of heard this voice say, “Let’s talk about your sins, Pete.” …..Well, he is right of course….. I need to worry about the plank in my eyes before I start worrying about the speck in yours….Pete

Ok, you folks in the know tell me again about global warming and then tell me when it is going to get to Albuquerque, NM. We have had about the coldest May on record and last year we finally had a few warm days, well, ok, a few hot days, it was not out of ordinary. So is this global warming territorial, say the Artic or Antarctic, or maybe over in Europe or something like that? It has been so dang cool I have not set out any plants yet, except for two tomatoes that are in planters on my porch. Next week I hope to plant more tomatoes and bell peppers, maybe a squash or two, so hopefully the weather will corporate and stay warm enough for that to happen. Anyway, you folks that know about this global warming and where it is happening, would you please leave a comment so I will know when to expect it here? Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you.

Ruben Navarrette, Jr., in today’s Albuquerque Journal, was writing about Cinco de Mayo being a faux holiday created by white people to get Latinos to spend their money and the only reason for the holiday. He also points out that Mr. Trump has been a champion of white people in the United States in the  north and east,  but when Mr. Trump gets to California he will not have those white people (his words) to support him. However, he says he will have thrones of protesters shouting expletives and waving Mexican flags, etc, etc. Well, Mr. Navarrette, that is why Mr. Trump is so popular; because of that flag waving bunch that you refer to.  Not only is Mr. Trump fed up the with those protesting flag wavers, the rest of America is also. That is what is promoting Mr. Trump, in part.

That’s the bunch that need to go back to the poverty ridden nation they left and start a revolution of their own, turning things around down there. It is not the American citizens of Latino descent, but these die hard Mexicans, probably illegals, wanting to live in America. This is a terrible way to show appreciations to the country they are calling home.

I am not a Trump fan, by any means, but seeing the flag waving bunch of Mexican who come to talk trash and downgrade America when they have deserted their own country tells me a lot about the backbone of that group. You, Mr. Navarrette,  as an educated American,  know that but will not admit it. Let those hardy protesters fight the necessary battles inside the Mexican borders to improve that country and leave America to fight our own battles. The poverty in Mexico can only be cured from within.

Please tell your Mexican friends that and leave us “white people” out of it.

There has been a search going on since back in January, 2016 for a fellow lost searching for Mr. Fenn’s 2 million dollar treasure (or whatever the value is). His blue backpack was found on the Rio Grande River northwest of Santa Fe while running the river in a raft. This backpack has been identified as his. The search was called off for a while, but now it is back on in hopes of finding him…. you can get clues on the Forest Finn web site or on hesterbooks.com web site. On mine, put Fenn’s Treasure in the search engine and there are several posts concerning the treasure. The fellow in question did not consider some things that should be considered….Listen to me, folks….Mr. Fenn is an old man and was in questionable health when he hid the treasure…It is not going to be far off a traveled road, it is a heavy chest. He did not  walk very far carrying that chest and he did not bury it. He hid it….So travel the back roads, read the clues and don’t walk over a few yards from the road. He did not carry that thing very far…I’m sure as he said no one else knows where it is, so he did not have help….So, look accordingly following his lead…Don’t get crazy over it….

President Obama is scheduled to visit Hiroshama, Japan in May, 2016, and the paper stated this morning that John Kerry was over there in preparation for that trip. It is said that Obama is going to apologize for America dropping the atomic bombs on them…..Let me tell you something Mr. President, you will never apologize for me. Japan did a sneak attack on us Dec. 7, 1941 and I will never, ever, forget that, and what about those in the Bataan Death March, are you forgetting that….Don’t offer an apology for me, ever…. We told them that we had a weapon of mass destruction and asked them in advance to surrender. They turned us down….My brother’s birthday celebratiion was interrupted that day and our world was changed forever. I went from a child to a teen hearing of the war and deaths of family and friends daily…..Sir, you are not speaking for me….I will never apologize for America stopping that war….Never, never, never….You should not either.

University of New Mexico fans are extremely good and intelligent fans…and plentiful. Every game at home is almost always a sell out. It is always a fun and entertaining outing when I get to go. But it is disturbing to me how a few sour apple critics can spoil the joy the fans, players and coaches have. The coaches son, Cullen Neal is leaving with two years of eligibility left, going to Ole Miss for the rest of his college career. I don’t really blame him. Can you believe he received death threats this year from a person or persons about his play, or maybe his playing style. Certainly those threats were from these critics or maybe Lobo haters, but what a shame that it happens. There is a Sports Speak Up section to the local newspaper where these critics get to sound off and spread their hate. You would think that the editor would at least weed out the worst of those, allowing the fans to enjoy the season. We are going to lose some games…we are going to win more than we lose…win or lose we need to be fans. Fans don’t bad mouth coaches and players publically.

Todd Burpo, writer of “Heaven is for Real”, a story about his son Colton going to heaven when he was four years old during surgery. There was no proof that Colton died that day, but the stories he was able to tell after the surgery was remarkable, and at four years old he would have had no other way of knowing about heaven and in-depth knowledge of Jesus. Todd had showed some pictures of Jesus to Colton and he always said they are not quite right. So when Todd learned of a report of a 8 year old girl painting a picture of Jesus whom she had seen in a vision, he watched her story as reported on CNN. He called Colton to the computer to view this painting and asked him what he thought of it. Colton replied, “Dad, that one is right.” …..You can view this painting by goggling Akiane Kramarik and reading about her and seeing her paintings. Her mom was an atheist and Akiane had no preschool training, yet at 4 years old she was having visions and painting such realistic paintings and drawings that her mom became a believer.  The painting of Jesus looking right at you is so amazing. I hope you will goggle her and see these paintings for yourself. You’ll be glad you did…

We have new world leaders in lots of countries now and some more on the way. Is the Anti-Christ among them? Considering the condition of the world today, he could be close to making a world wide appearance, if he has not already. I do not think the Anti-Christ will be from America. From a biblical point of view, I don’t think we will figure into the leadership role in this one. I think he will be from one of those countries right in the middle of all the fighting we see in the war torn middle east countries today, making a temporary peace and wowing all of the world with his peace making abilities before becoming the devil’s advocate and showing his true colors. No, I have not received a revelation or anything like that and truly only God knows……But He said to watch….and be ready….gloom and doom I’m not. But the world is a’changing folks and I’m not sure how long God waits before He steps in for the final chapter of this old world.
