The immigration reform could began by helping Mr. Jaime Campos out. Mr. Campos is needing temporary farm workers. WKI Outsourcing, Mr. Campos company, supplies farm workers to area farmers all across southern New Mexico and maybe other areas as well. He is in need of these workers but he says he cannot get the Labor Department to allow enough workers to come through from Mexico and the duration of their stay is not sufficient for crop completion. I am but a small voice who says “listen to the man”. This is what makes for good international relations. Lets help him get some green carded workers into America and into the fields and let them stay until the work is done. If you have contacts in the Department of Labor or other high government offices, talk to them about this problems. Write to Mr. Jaimie Campos at jaimecampos@msn.com and visit with him about his total needs. This will help immigration and labor problems in the USA….

This morning was a beautiful day, quite, serene, nothing going on in our neighborhood. No riots, no hunger, no quarreling and no drug deals going down to my knowledge. A good start to a weekend where we honor those who died to give us this freedom. We kind of take our good life for granted, but a lot of folks died to make it happen. Thanks to the families of our fallen Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors and Marines who have suffered in their loss. We share your grief and we honor you and your fallen loved one this weekend. God Bless America and the Military who so bravely fight for our  freedom.

We celebrated our Memorial Day on Sunday afternoon. I asked my granddaughter to read the Gettysburg Address just before our lunch. Wow, that speech always gets to me…What a powerful choice of words and the last two sentences take us living in the 21st Century to task. ….”It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us-that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion-that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation under God shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.” Our present Congress has it’s work cut out for it….From my seat here is Albuquerque it seems to me the proper course of action is prayer…President Lincoln called it correctly, “that this nation under God”  Our prayers that the Almighty will once again put up the hedge rows to protect our country, return prayer back into the school systems and recognize that without God’s help we will never susceed.

We would like to wish Mrs. Huff a very Happy Birthday on June 11. She certainly earned having a nice, quiet day, huh? Mrs. Huff, it is very doubtful that you remember me, just one of many faces and names passing though your classes over the years, but I certainly remember you, So many of us do. I want to say thank you for giving of yourself and having such a successful career and a wonderful life. A life that has touched so many of us in a very positive manner. One of the thing that Colton Burpo confirms in the book, “Heaven is For Real” is the Trinity. Colton was discussing the seating arrangement around the throne and Colton stated that he sat in a little chair by The Holy Spirit. Then Colton spoke up and said, “I was sitting by The Holy Spirit. I was praying for you.” Meaning he was praying for his dad back on earth. Then he said, “Hey Dad, did you know God is three persons?” He was not yet four years old and made that statement. Another interesting place in the book, Colton dad asked him what he did while in Heaven. Colton replied, “Homework. Jesus had me doing homework.” Another place Colton told his Mom that the angels carry swords in heaven and they do so to keep Satan out of heaven. Colton’s words were that Satan is not in Hell yet……Wow, that is  pretty heavy stuff for a four year old, huh. Again folks, let me plug this book…You really should read it….Heaven is For Real by Todd Burpo with Lynn Vincent..You will not be able to put it down……God loves the little children…..

Ruben said, in his article this morning in the Albuquerque Journal May 22, 2011,  among other things that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano reports that the border is more secure than ever and that the present adminstration  has deported about 400,000 illegal immigrants per year since taking office. By removing 1,000 illegals per day it should reach the 1 million mark by Labor Day…..Wow, that is doing pretty good huh….And Ruben points out that President Obama stood before the border and announced mission accomplished and announced that the border was more secure than ever…Ruben seems to think the Latinos have been stung…But that’s what we do Ruben, if you don’t have your green card they send you back…You are a lawbreaker when you do that….Get your green card and come back, then you will be ok and not have to worry about having your drivers license checked…..Now, Ruben,  if you are legal you will be ok so don’t worry in that event…..

We are still here….Maybe tomorrow or day after or next year….anyway, it will happen and we all need to stay ready….I know it will be a wonderful place and all that and a whole lot of my folks are there already, but still we just wonder a little about the transition….It will be ok and as far as I know we cannot stop it and we probably don’t really want to, but, well, er, uh, gee, I mean, right now, ok, but, ……you know what I mean…….

Well, according to Harold Camping, President of Family Radio, 6 pm today is it….. Rapture, so I’ll be out of here if that is correct. It is the day I have been waiting for. I read where no man would know the day or the hour but I apparently  Mr. Camping thinks he has some inside information. Now if I am around tomorrow, I may have a problem  that, one…..if the Rapture occurred and I am still here my troubles are just beginning…two, if the rapture did not occur then Mr. Camping got some bad information…It does not mean that he is a bad guy, just misinformed and not as close to the Almighty as he had previously thought. You got to be pretty gutsy to make a call like that, still I hope he is right, God takes us  believers right on up to heaven to spend enternity. Pretty good, huh.. Now then, if I am still here tomorrow and all my fellow Christian are still here also, I will be doing a post….If, however, my fellow Christians are all gone and I’m still here, then I don’t really know what I’ll be doing…That’s even harder to think about…..But, even so, tomorrow at this time, me still here (God forbid) I will be doing a post….Probably saying I am a Christian believer and they missed me in the Rapture somehow…..shudder, shudder…..Forgive all my sins Lord Jesus…Amen and Amen

I have titled this painting Survivors. I hope you can tell this is a mountainous burn area. As sometimes happens, the fire skips certain areas and things.  I have depicted a surviving pine tree and an owl waiting for any surviving rodents. With a few good rain the area will rejuvenate itself but it will be years in the restoration……click on painting to increase size….

Number 2 son came over again today. I always put him to work and I don’t really mean to, it just works out that way. And he is so nice to never complains and he works so darn fast. I have trouble keeping up. I won’t go over everything he did today but I kept him plenty busy planting, squash and okra. He makes it look easy. We have a joint effort in painting rocks also. His Mom picks the rocks to be painted and she picks most of the scriptures and he prints the scripture on the rock. He has a beautiful print. Then they allow me to paint flowers and grass and other stuff, such as vines, etc on the rocks and then we give them to family and friends. They turn out pretty good and we have received several complements on our work. They have been well received by those recipients or so it seems anyway. Anyway, the printing process goes a lot faster than the painting process so I have to catch up in the next couple of days on my “rock painting”. Some are used as decorations in the house, one is out by a tree planted in honor of a lady son who recently passed away, one or more is door stops. I painted some with flowers and no scriptures that decorate our patio. But anyway, it is a fun project that No. 2, Sweetie and I enjoy doing. Then later in the day No. 2 daughter dropped by and we had not seen her in forever (seems like) and we played ketch up on our visiting…So good to see her and her guy and getting some serious visiting in.

My back yard has been visited by a Scott Oriole, a beautiful bird, two days in a row now. I think he has a nest close by and I am delighted that he has chosen my yard to feed and water in. He took a real good bath in the bird bath, he stayed in a long time and he ran of a Robin who was wanting to bath. What a pleasure it is for me at the end of a day to sit on my back patio and watch the show put on by God’s little creatures.  Very relaxing.

For your information, I publish what you commenters write me for the most part, save any cursing or hurtful words toward people, etc, and sometimes those words are not agreed with by this writer, still I publish them and let you read what they think.
