I was talking to a cousin in Alabama the other day and the topic of cable television came up. He mentioned that he had enough trouble being a Christian without all the stuff that comes in over cable television into his house and invading his mind, so he only had what was available over the antenna. That put me to wondering, while I do not have the premium channels, other than NFL Network and The Mountain, I have enough of the other stuff myself on the balance of the channels. I can appreciate what my cousin is doing. It would probably be much better for me to follow in his footsteps…..well, maybe after basketball season….for a couple of months….maybe…I don’t know….gee, I will have to think on this a good bit…
Better be careful talking to that cousin. He almost convinced me to quit my sattelite. I would if I could still get Fox News and the Braves. That really is the only two I watch.
Thanks, Don…Did you note the mistake I made, I said Alabama and it is really Mississippi. Maybe he will not read this post. I understand the Fox and Braves, I have some hang ups as well….A satelite may be the way to go, but I don’t think the Mountain is on there, is it?…Pete

I bet I know who that cousin is. Well, this is the cousin in Arkansas. Isn’t it better to have 10,000,000 different opinions coming in over cable TV than to have only one forced opinion on a state controlled network like they have in Russia, Iran, and North Korea. I’ll take the good ole U S of A anyday. I just hope that the antichrist in the White House don’t succeed in boiling all of those channels down to one government channel based in Chicago that forces us to bow to Mecca to pray every day.
There you have the opinion of the Arkansas cousin. There is nothing to think about. Just take that remote and keep surfing. You will eventually find something in which to agree before you get mad and boil over.

What gorgeous pooths!My 11yr old and her bestie had a sleepover in the school hols. They had a ball; giggling and chatting away till all hours. I found them out cold asleep on the sofas the next morning. Both of them were the perfect picture of angels!
