How about all the recalls by Toyota, huh….Now maybe Ford has some….If you work on an assembly line or you are building parts, workers just have to take care of their jobs. Every play in football is designed to be a touchdown if everyone does their job, anyway, so the coaches say…Same way on an assembly line or building parts, each person must do their job correctly..Had that happened at Toyota and the parts makers I don’t believe we would have had this massive recall..So whatever your job on the assembly line, in work or in life, do your part….just do your part…that makes a big difference…anyway, that how I see it…Pete

The part about workers doing their jobs is all true, but I still believe that the problem at Toyota is a software gliche. I believe Toyota knows this. They are working feverishly to find and correct it but are having trouble because of its randomness. It only appears to affect a few vehicles and not all the time. They are under pressure from the government and the public to fix their cars. This is the reason thay came up with the metal plate “fix”, hoping it would buy them some time. It just illustrates that cars are becoming too computerized. Soon, cars will become a robot. Then they will turn on us with disastrous consequences. It may be time to go back to the basic car that Henry Ford invented and placed in production at the turn of the last century: the mechanical-only monstrosity known as the Model-T Ford.

I fail to see how a gas pedal can mechanically stick without the gas pedal being depressed unless it is a software problem. I understand that this has occurred in some of the incidents related to the Toyota cars.

Several folks think it is a software problem. I hope we don’t have another bad accident to find out. We will see huh.

You’re the best! Take care.

thanks very much.
