New Mexico Representatives Voting, a duty?

Is it the duty of our elected officials to vote on bills, any bills before the House or Senate. Let me answer…Yes, yes, yes, it is a duty….On a recent tax vote, four of our elected officials were excused from voting. One did claim sickness. All four stated they were against the tax increases, yet they did not vote…It does not matter how I feel about the bill, if I am either for it or against it, but it certainly matters how our elected officials feel about it. So, Senators and Congressmen, do your job…. VOTE…Vote for the bill, vote against the bill, but go on record one way or the other….If you are going to set on the fence you might as well be out here with the rest of us citizens who have no vote…When you don’t vote, you do not represent anyone…You are worthless, a vote was wasted on you….It blows me away that you think you have done some good by not voting….WHAT A WASTE OF VOTERS EFFORTS…..Please do your job and vote on the issues, and always on the tough issues…..Pete Hester

I wish I knew the answer to why congressmen don’t vote. They tell us one thing and do opposite. Maybe I’m old fashion but if a man or a woman tells someone they are going to do something you could know they were going to do it. I know I read to much history, just wish we had more people like our forefathers.
Thanks for writing your comments…I don’t know either but I think it is because, one…they don’t believe in the bill and two…they don’t want a vote for or against it on their record…I think its a yellow streak down the spine they will not let them stand for what they really believe and in my opinion that’s the worst kind of fellow…If it walks like a duck…..
