I don’t know about you reader’s families, but when some of us get together it pretty much about eating and visiting. And we take it serious….We have some wonderful Mexican restaurants here in town and when certain members come in they have their favorite places to go and then we have to share our favorites with them… Then, all of them are darn good cooks, including my darling….So, eating out, snacks, get togethers meals, desserts, late night “can’t sleep snacks”, in between meal snacks, and “because someone else got something and it looked so good” snacks….. My son in law brought the fixings from Tucson for stratch tacos and on his, he does the shell, then adds cheese, then meat, then more cheese then the stuff…. tomatoes, lettuce, salsa, etc, and my wifes pinto beans/ham were out of this world, of course after we added about 3 spoons of salsa to them…and she had this cake that she poured some hot, sweet, buttery sauce over and it was to die for (and its a wonder I did not)…I don’t remember what all else in the way of food, but it was a wonderful time. no.1 daughter and no.1 son in law…no 2 son and family, lots of visiting…..and 42…us boys (no.1 SIL and me) won….my daughter and wife did not have a chance, well, we did have to have a play off and it did look a little scary at times, but we prevailed. We added a new wrinkle to the game, before bidding on your hand, partners could swap one domino if they desired, except when bidding a “Plunge” then you could not exchange…It was a welcomed change and we might continue doing that for a while…anyway, that was our weekend and I loved it….It was fun…

Eating and visiting! It sounds like Coal Fire in the old days except for the Mexican part.
Amen to the Mexican part. I still love American dishes mostly.
Yeah, I love American…and Mexican….and most of the others.
That’s probably where we got the idea….Coal Fire food…
Love Mexican but you can’t beat Coal Fire food….now is the time for it everything is fresh from the garden…..
garden fresh sounds great….But our gardens did not get enough warmth until a couple of weeks ago…to darn cold…but yeah, Coal Fire food is hard to beat…
