Murder in my backyard continues……

I have a silent killer stalking my backyard, attacking my birds, mainly dove….This killer leaves only feathers….no bones….A hawk, a roadrunner or a cat is about what I have narrowed it down to.. I think a hawk would leave the bones and I think the same for a roadrunner…But most house cats would play with the bird, wouldn’t they?…Do you folks have any ideas…Is there something else that eats birds?…I don’t own a cat and I don’t see many in the neighborhood, but I have seen some…If you have a idea, leave me a comment…thanks, Pete
I think it may be the work of the latest space aliens to visit Kirtland AFB. Instead of butchering cattle, they are now killing birds. This explains the no bones evidence. They need the calcium to replace their own that was lost by years of space travel.
Use your imagination, and you can make an excellent UFO story out of this one. Sufficient imagination might even allow the alien to be caught in the act of killing his next bird.
Yeah, have I posted a chapter or two from Bernie, Also Starring Ralph and Carlos…about my white mouse, his pilot, a pigeon and their friend, an American Crow? Great story and yes, this does have potential….
So, Bernie is coming back to haunt the author by killing off his doves, a symbol of peace. I still think that it is space aliens since they are mostly products of the imagination anyway.
My son, who is a lover of cat and owns five, let me restate that, five cats claim him as provider…anyway, he says, yes, a cat will eat everything except the feathers and they probably love the protection my backyard provides them from other prediators, dogs and such..which makes sense to me..Anyway, thanks to no. 1 son for that tidbit of info….
