Gathering of Guitars at Claunch, NM

Well, we had to miss the gathering down at Claunch….Dang, I feel bad about it. …All that music floating around down there and I wasn’t a party to it….I understand folks came from all over: El Paso, Albuquerque, Portales, California, Roswell and points in between and almost all of them had a guitar or mandolin or dobro or fiddle and all could sing, all could eat and a lot could cook…I understand this partying went on for two or three days. This was a hard core cook out, eat out and sing along and all of them say they are ready to do it again…sounds like they were just regular old party animals…I hope they didn’t run off all the antelope with all that carrying on….These are some special folks and I am glad they had the get together and so happy they had a good time….
