Colorado River

We got several good shots of the rims at the Grand Canyon but from several of the view points you can see very little of the river. This shot is the best one of the river. At one place we could see a raft running the rapids, but to the camera lens it was only a speck, well, at least for our camera. One thing you cannot tell from the photo is the speed of the river. We attended the Imax movie on the second day and you felt like you were running the rapid watching it…Looked like fun…
At least, it is good to see that there is still water in the Colorado River. The way that they are talking about Lake Mead drying up, I was beginning to have doubts. It just goes to show that we don’t have a water crisis. We just have a people crisis caused by people who use too much.
