ESPN’s Mark Schlaback’s Bottom 10 Football teams

Per this guy both New Mexico Teams suck…..Well, I guess he is right…I sure cannot argue the point…It made the TV News tonight, not sports, but it said…. stay tuned for the “NEWS” folks…The bottom ten: Western Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Cal, Akron,North Texas, Colorado State, UNLV (who beat us last week) Marshall…..I am not saying yea nor nay to these bottom 10, but that’s what Mr. Schlaback says…..I think he may be pretty close to right anyway….I feel bad…I know both our teams feel badly about this…And the Coaches of both school, how do they handle this….You gotta go on, huh? But coach, can you change the offense? Maybe the single wing or the Notre Dame Box, student body right, the old straight T, something, anything….Everybody has the answer Coach, just ask us, only thing our answers don’t count…Your answer is the only one to matter, I just hope you choose the right one….and if you lose to New Mexico State in two weeks,….mercy..mercy…mercy….its sad to think about it all…..
Isn’t UNM basically a soccer school anyway? Why not just concentrate on soccer and leave the football to those who know how to play it, like those Bama Boys and those Razorbacks? I know the first time that I saw the strange game of soccer was at UNM when I kept watching guys senselessly running up and down the field kicking a round ball, and I wondered why they were too chicken to just pick it up and run with it. It was my own version of “What it was, was football!” Remember Andy Griffith!
New Mexico is good in soccer, excellent in basketball and are getting much better is baseball…Football knowledge apparently left with Rocky Long a couple of years ago…We will get there, not to worry….
Perhaps what UNM needs in football is more money in order to hire a $13 million coach, to draft a few of the fastest roadrunners for speed, and to borrow a few Texas jackrabbits for stealth and trickery. Then, throw in a hand full of “enchantment” to blind the opposing team. With this combination, it will be prepared to win some ball games. Go Loboes! I will root for them all the way (except when they play Alabama or Arkansas).
Well, we are going to recruit Dad’s to coach for free and ask they bring their son’s with them…That’s our best bet right now…
