There most certainly are guardian angels. Most guardian angels may not be quite as “guardian” as some people may think (or believe), but there are most certainly guardian angels who are ever presently looking after every new “babe in Christ” as he (or she) walks the walk of life attempting to develop and follow the pilgrim path that will lead him (or her) to Jesus Christ. The concept of a guardian angel is biblical too, though it may not be explicitly mentioned in direct terms. The Bible records the experiences of mankind from the Creation, through the Fall, the Redemption, and the climatic End with all the interactions of God with man during that long process. It is difficult to record a “babe in Christ’s” experience with a guardian angel because these “experiences” are almost always internal to the particular awareness and “experience” of that individual. The Bible concentrates on those facts of history, experience, and actions that demonstrate the working out of God’s Plan of Salvation within them that can be taught and preached throughout the world to redeem mankind. For that reason, we should not expect to find much in the Bible about guardian angels and the metaphysical. The Bible is for everyone: not merely those who experience metaphysical phenomena. I’m sorry if this comment is too long, but there most certainly are guardian angels looking after and lifting up every “babe in Christ”. Jesus Christ was no Seer. He was no mystic. He was a man as well as the Son of God. Though he had insights and revelations from God that most men do not have, these insights and revelations, like one’s experience with a guardian angel, were still internal. He was able to share with his disciples and his contemporaries only that which they could understand and, slowly, as they were able to understand and accept. This is the reason he had to die because the process of education, enlightenment, and acceptance is a very slow one.
