A special Merry Christmas to all of you serving in our military….Especially to those of you overseas….I get a lot of readers from other countries and I often wonder if it is Americans serving in those countries or citizens of those countries….If you are in the Military a big thank you and Merry Christmas and I hope you can have a peaceful day, one where you can feel the peace and tranquility that only Jesus can provide. We pray for your safety daily and for your safe return to your homeland. And if you are a citizen of another country reading my web site for the first time or a return visitor, I want you to know that I appreciate you coming by and I also wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and pray for God’s blessings on each of you…..Merry Christmas to all…..Pete

Let’s be realistic for a change. Our military no longer consists of draftees and “weekend wonders”. The typical person in the military now makes more than his equivalent in the civilian sector, pays fewer taxes, collects better benefits, and has access to better medical care (The military has had Obamacare for years for which the poor civilian, after paying more taxes and higher prices, must pay.) Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate our military, but the modern military is compensated much better than the average civilian without paying for any of it because the civilian sector has already paid. A few of them must dodge a few bullets and IED’s, but so do civilians if you happen to live on the Mexican border, downtown Phoenix, or even downtown Little Rock. I say Merry Christmas to the military, but not because they are the military, but because I say Merry Christmas to All and to All a Happy New Year.
I hold to my original greeting…
So do I, but let’s not place the military on too high a pedestal. They may fall off and require early Obamacare.
