14 degrees right now, 4:30pm…..that just ain’t right….weatherman says it could get to minus 8 in some locations around town. I think about 3 degrees for the Paradise Hills area tomorrow…..I would like to turn in a formal complaint,….. Governor Bill is no longer around to blame….If this is what global warming is all about, I am tired of it already…..Somebody needs to figure out about this global warming crap and just who is getting it…I read in the paper the other day where it is reported the Pacific Ocean is colder than it has ever been since we have been keeping records and that is the reason for all the snow and cold nationwide: La Nina or somebody, whoever he is…We need to chase that little fellow back up to the Arctic Ocean or where ever he belongs….I think I have had about all the global warming I want for this winter….How about you?…
ps. it is 6:40 am 2/2/11 and the real temperature is 1 degree. with the 23 mile per hour wind, the wind chill is minus 23 degrees….At the present, global warming would be welcomed….check in with me this summer…provided we don’t freeze….

I’ll file your complaint with Al Gore. Perhaps he can check his fancy scientific instruments to see what is wrong. Sorry! Al couldn’t read them anyway. Perhaps he can check with his imminent scientists in order to search out the error. You know! Those scientists who couldn’t keep a private email from being stolen and read.
One degree at 6:40 A. M.! I use to walk across KAFB to the mess hall at 5:00 A. M. It may be necessary to requisition some true AF Alaskan wear now. Of course, every New Mexican winter felt like one degree after the wind chill from the whipping New Mexico Enchantment was factored in. It made me envy our sheep. Even though they were receiving lethal doses of radiation, they looked warm in their coat of wool, even though they were the guest of the AF in thermatically controlled animale shelters.
We did have the east canyon winds blowing through the city last night, keeping the snow blown out of the valley…We had to get out for a doctors appointment this morning and we can testify that it was extremely cold…..
I woke up this morning and turned on the weather, as I normally do; and I heard that it was minus 17 in Albuquerque with the wind chill. What? What Albuquerque were they talking about? I had never experienced such low readings in the Albuquerque (NM) that I knew when I was there in the late Sixties; but, then, this was before the wind chill scale was invented. It may have been that cold riding my bicycle over the Land of Enchantment, and I didn’t know it. It is no wonder that Albuquerque is the place where I learned how to wear “long johns” and to dress appropriately, especially while riding a bike or hiking early in the morning. In this case, I am glad that I didn’t have the benefit of knowing about the “scale”. I would have done as Paxatawney Phil in Pennsylvania, and run back into my hole for another six weeks although I understand that he did not do that this year.
Sorry! Al Gore still believes in his original thesis of global warming. Go on his website and you can see what I mean. Once a politician, always a politician! A politician can never be changed. Big Al still believes that snowstorms are to be expected when the earth is warming up. He just won’t believe the evidence that the sun is cooling off, that the sun has been in the doldrums all last summer, allowing the Pacific Ocean to cool to its coolest point in recent years. Wake up and consult your scientists Al, the real ones who have no ax to grind.
Well, us folks here in Albuquerque can testify to the cold this year for sure…
