Albuquerque Journal, Feb. 11, 2011 “Immigrant License Bill Hits Snag”….Members of the House Labor and Human Resources Committee voted 5 – 4 to delay action on the measure for immigrants to turn in their license for a one year permit….The paper states “dozens” of opponents turned out in force to urge lawmakers to vote down the measure…Me talking now, since when does “dozens” force the hand of the House Labor and Human Resources Committee?…Does not take much to turn them around, huh?… Back to the article, Maria Villa of Roswell said to eliminate driver’s license for foreign nationals is causing fear among immigrants….Me again, You darn right its causing fear cause most of them are illegals….When “dozens” can rule a Committee, what chance does any bill have?…

When politicians, who are mostly lawyers, become involved, snags arise. What we need is more citizen members of state legislatures and the Congress that might include a few straight lawyers, if any can be found.
To answer Miss Villa and her fearful immigrants, of course, immigrants, especially illegal ones, should be fearful, at least respectful, of the law because no one will ever obey the law, rather it is an immigrant, legal or illegal, a drug pusher, or simply a moonshiner unless that person has some respect for what the law will do to anyone whoe disobeys it. It is what is called “putting teeth into the law”.
Lots of false teeth out here and very little polygrip, know what I mean?….
