Who says there is nothing to do around Carlsbad. And besides all this there is a river that runs through it. And there are some pretty large caverns just west of there. You might want to consider a visit down that way. This is number one son’s toy, however, I think he bought a new one the other day. Please read the comments as no. 1 son added some comments and valuable information for you four wheeler buffs….

I love Carlsbad, NM!
Glad you do Elisa..It is a nice place and a good place to raise a family. Thanks
I believe I would like to try this…Looks like a great time…
Carlsbad has some nice caverns too: the best I’ve ever seen. Since the government can’t open up the Nevada site, it would be an excellent place to dispose of nuclear waste. I’m only kidding. We better not give the government that idea. They may do it.
To Danny, yes it does look like fun and these guys are out there most weekends. To Errol, we have the nuclear waste storage between Carlsbad and Hobbs and it is going strong. Still low level waste however.
This is Pete’s number 1 son. Four wheeling is great around Carlsbad. Not only are there sand dunes you can also run up and down the Pecos river and go to the mountains in Lincoln national forest. Lots of BLM land open to the public. My favorite place is Hackberry Lake about 20 miles outside of town. BLM has sit aside 55,000 arces for off road vehicles. Google it if interested.
Thanks, Bob, I appreciate your comments and the 55,000 acres is a pretty big deal, huh? Sounds like fun, my son….Be careful…Dad
