Collateral damage is a term we hear pretty regular anymore. Turn on the nightly news and we hear of bombs exploding that are intends for certain military entities and several others often end up being injured or killed. And it is always sad when the innocent are involved, women and little children who had no part in the conflict. Same way around here….Drunk drivers, people going out to have a good time and on the drive home, wrecks and kill several innocent people, and very seldom does the drunk get hurt in the accident. Just these past few days, more stories of that happening….Collateral damage,… the person started the evening with no thoughts of injuring others, just wanting to have a good time and over does it, leaves the bar saying I’m ok to drive and minutes later some innocent people are on the way to the morgue….I hope that with the Holiday Season upon us again that all of us will work to stop the drinker from driving. Take him or her home and come back tomorrow for the car….Please….No COLLATERAL DAMAGE this Holiday Season…..Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas and all the days in between….OK?…Pete Hester
