Here is the latest snow base amounts at the New Mexico resorts….Angel Fire, 36 inches…Enchanted Forest 36 inches, Pajarito, 41 inches..Red River, 40 inches…, Sandia Peak, 45 inches….Sipapu, 34 inches,…. Ski Apache, 34, inches…Ski Santa Fe, 42 inches, Taos Ski Valley, 42 inches and Valles Caldera, 12 inches…Good skiing and more snow coming later this week….You folks that do such things, come on out to New Mexico…TV tonight says great skiing….I’ll take their word for it….
Now don’t forget the annual shovel race at Angel Fire Resort, Feb 11-12, 2012….Registration and clinic on Feb 11 and the race is on Feb 12….Bring your best snow shovel, probably wide enough to fit your hinny…I don’t think you want much hanging over as that ole shovel reaches speeds of up to 75 miles per hour….they have prizes for those that finish…It sounds like, er, fun, kinda….scary though

It’s good to see that New Mexico has some snow. The Weather service keeps saying that most of the snow is going to Alaska this year and that another drought is on its way. New Mexico skiers must be doing alot of praying, like I was doing when I was there except I was praying that I wouldn’t get a leg broken or worse, not for snow.
Northern New Mexico has had good snow, including Sandia Peak….Matter of fact, one of our better years for Sandia Peak Ski area…
Neighbor came over tonight and asked us to pick up his mail for a few days and to kinda watch his home place….the boy is going skiing…to Santa Fe….said the snow is great in Santa fe and Sandia…better than the Colorado resorts…..I just thought you guys would like to hear that testimony….
