Koch Industries to donate $100 million to defeat Obama

Wow…Mr. Charles and David Koch pledged 60 million along with a few other rich folk kicking in 40 million to get Mr. Obama out of office….That’s great, but who will they choose to run. You remember the ad where Alex Baldwin is in an airplane cockpit in the co-pilots seat and the captain tells him not to touch the controls. Alex says, ” It’s ok, I have played a pilot before.”  Well, I think that may be the answer. We could  find a good actor to play the part of President, place of birth probably does not matter, and for a portion of the 100 million, say those dollars left over from the election, could just go into the pocket of the individual chosen for the part. Now Tom Sellick played Ike, who was a general and president, and he did a pretty good job acting like Ike.  He may be our boy…He’s good….Gives good speeches, plays his part well and plays it convincingly.  He may have a chance….But Romney, Gingrich, Paul….not so much…Santorum, maybe if we can get him on the ticket….So, Mr. Charles and David Koch, could you talk Tom in playing this new role…maybe playing himself,…… Tom Sellick for President….Well, it might work….

Ronald Reagan is dead. Fred Thompson, the new Reagan in 2008, won’t work. You know about Newt and the Newt Reaganism. It worked in South Carolina where the people are smart, but not in many other places where they are dumb. Besides, what’s wrong with Mitt Romney. He turned around big companys. He turned around the Salt Lake City Olympics and made that olympic event much better than the one in China. He can turn around the US of A as well if the people will just let him. He’s a good man. Why are people so biased against Mormons and Christianity in general. He is a tither. That is the reason he only paid 15% of his income in taxes. More than 10% of it went to the Church, principally the Mormon Church. Besides his 20% is more than the 40% of that paid by 48% of most Americans who pay no income taxes at all. 40% of nothing is still nothing.

Sorry about the server comment. I write on a state government computer that evidently considers the Hesterbooks website as spam as it does so many others of a political persuasion.

No harm on the server comment. Good to know how they feel about this web site. Milt Romney is ok by me. I am not sure he is ok by the American people. In any case, Democrat or Republican, the Congress has it’s work cut out for itself the next few years. If you have noticed, we have a problem with the national debt and our banker (China) is having problems themselves. So, someone, somewhere, has some work to do……

In any event, it will be the most momentous election in the history of the USA. At worse, it will determine the fate of our country, its survival, and its standing in the world of nations. At best, it will determine whether or not it will remain a beacon of freedom and free enterprise to the rest of the world and a hope for all downtrodden peoples of the world or just another nation of big government dictatorship and government mandated enterprises where the people have little voice, where Ruth Bader Ginsburg has succeeded in her desire to trash our “living” constitution in favor of the lengthy, detailed ones of Canada and South Africa where every right of every individual is spelled out in the utmost detail without maintaining that vision and beacon of freedom that makes the document a living one.
