Platoro, Co…picture of Mix Lake

This is Mix Lake. It is a higher elevation than the Platoro Reservoir. At the top of the photo you can see bare earth where the reservior is located. For us, we had better luck on Mix Lake than we did on the reservoir, except for one in our party, an adventurous soul, fished  off the dam. A long, rocky trip, but he has good legs. I would have broken my neck trying to cover the ground that boy did. My neighbor reports a friend of his is headed up that way next week….Gee, I’m jealous already….But have fun guys, you gonna love it….Pete
