I have followed football every year and I try to keep up with all the teams. Of course, you have your Alabama, Michigan, USC, Oklahoma, LSU and many, many others….all the top teams I know about, some lesser one I followed, Rice, Buffalo, Ball State, Louisiana Tech, etc, but all of a sudden, from nowhere comes some teams that just pops on the scene and schedules the top teams in the nation….How do they do that?… I’m talking about two specifically, Fla. International and Fla. Atlantic…look at this, Fla. Int plays Alabama, Rutgers, Toledo, Troy, Florida…to name a few and Fla Atlantic plays Nebraska, S. Carolina, Wyoming, UAB and Troy to name a few…Who are these guys and how do they schedule the big boys right out of the chute…..Maybe they have been around for a long time and we just don’t hear about them out here…I did hear about them back last year, but that is still very fast for this schedule…please tell me about them if you know…Pete

Give credit where credit is due. The good ole NCAA! Since all school have to obey the same rules, the big schools and the small schools, the rich schools and the poor schools, the strong schools and the weak schools are all equal under the rules. As a result, the athletic programs in all schools have a vast equality of nothing and a never ending view of sameness that makes all of them look alike. Perhaps this is the way it should be, but it makes for some very dull football. I have just about abandoned football for soccer. At least, those soccer players keep on running even if they never win.

Oh, come on Errol, soccer….well, they are good athletes and I appreciate what the boys and girls do, but replacing football? Some of us are die hards, Errol, and will probably never change, we just got football in our blood…Anyway, thanks for the comment.Pete
