Healthcare

Well, I have stayed away from this subject for several reasons….One, it is so touchy with most people, as we all have strong feeling about this…I want everyone to have healthcare, I really do, but I don”t want to pay for everybody’s….Do you? We cannot afford to have our government pay for all to have healthcare either…Is there something half way that we can afford? I don’t know of anything….Forcing all the employers to provide healthcare is also scary as this could force the smaller companies out of business and we don’t want that either…There just “ain’t no easy button” to handle this…I always thought it was going along pretty good before…Reckon what happened?….You might send me your ideas as I certainly don’t have any good answers, or better yet, send them to Mr. Obama… he could really use them, right?…..

Pete,
Amen!!! You finally had a great idea. I became convinced that we had the best healthcare system in the world when my cardiologist told me that, if I did not have valve replacement surgery immediately, I would be dead from a massive heart attack in less than six months. Under our current healthcare system, I was diagnosed with a bum valve on January 10, 2008, and I had valve replacement surgery on January 25, 2008. The surgery was on a Friday, and I got out of the hospital on Monday. I was out of the hospital before my boss at the Health Department got around to visiting me. He visited an empty room. I don’t believe any bureaucrat in Washington (or any other place) would or could have acted so rapidly, not even if Barack himself was the bureaucrat. Don’t let the barackcrats mislead you. It is not our healthcare system that needs reforming. It is the barackcrats and the democrats who could stand a trip through the town of Reform while the good ole itinerant preacher was preaching his heart out to no avail. That preacher is still preaching. Let’s hope America listens this time, even if those poor people in Reform did not.
I think more and more people of falling off that band wagon. I hope so. Thanks for your comments…
