July 4th……238 years?

Well, if I am figuring it correctly, we have had 238 years of freedom. Not 238 easy years by any means, but good years,, years of growth and learning how to live free and make rules to protect our rights and freedom…Seems like we have outdone ourselves at times, huh, or is it just me…..Some people do not feel the same as others, they don’t have the pride in God, country, and flag. They don’t stand at attention during the singing of the national anthem or they talk and show disrespect. Our soldiers are still fighting, not for our freedom, but for others and the ones we are fighting for don’t care about us or our soldiers. Our freedom will remain…We will make it so…I would be happy to have all our people in the confines of our own borders, but that’s me. Others think we are the world policemen, but it is a very high price to pay in a world where we are not always welcome. So, July 4th, we will grill hamburgers and hot dogs, enjoy our family and our freedom…But let us bow our heads and give thanks to the Almighty for this freedom and pray that it will continue until He comes for us….God Bless America..  Pete Hester
