I’m 80 years old and have never owned a slave. My daddy died when he was 93 years old, born and died in Alabama and he never owned a slave. My grandpa died when he was 75 years old, born and died in Alabama and he never owned a slave. My great grandpa was born and died in Alabama, fought in the Civil War and he never owned a slave as far as I can tell. I do not believe in slavery nor do I believe that my forefathers believed in slavery. Why was slavery brought up last night for this years elections. It sounded so much like playing the race card. You are free….free…you can vote….we have a black president. I’m all for us Americans…God loves you…I love you…..We are free….Can we get away from the slavery issue? 150 years ago?…… If we can’t, we may have major problems in this nation…..We have got to move on…

Yes! Slavery was brought up at the Convention in Philadelphia, But the ISIS problem was never mention in the first two days of the Convention. Yes! Slavery is the problem, but it in not 19th century slavery. The problem is the enslavement of America by radical Islam. This slavery and this problem is the slavery that is completely ignored at the democratic convention. It is a problem that is not as farfetched as the democrats are trying to lead us to believe. At least, Trump and the Republicans are not ignoring it.
The democrats are living in a cocoon oblivious of what’s going on in the world. No mention was made on the third night of the convention of any problem the country is facing, domestic or foreign. Then, Nancy Pelozi had the gall to slam the non-college educated, like my own Dad, for supporting Trump because they did not have the brains to think for themselves. I have some news for Nancy. My Dad had more brains and skill in his little finger than she and her corrupt husband have with all their fancy college training. As any computer program is only as good as the dumb programmer that programmed it, any college education is only as good as the quality of the faculty that produced it. Many college faculties today are more interested in the source of the public monies that pay their own salaries than they are of the quality of their student’s education. This is the reason I gave up on public institutions of learning long ago and have concentrated on religious based institutions.
