Well, we are going to Branson…We have been several times and really enjoy it…The Boss had hip replacement surgery in May of 2008 and we had not been anywhere since, except short trips….No.1 daughter and no.1 son-in-law are flying in from Tucson and No. 3 son and no. 3 daughter-in-law are coming down from Madison, WI and we will meet at Lambert’s “Home of the Throwed Roll” in Ozark, Mo. After one of their fabulous meals, we will continue on down to Branson. So we are looking forward to a mini family reunion and some class entertainment. No. 3 son is quite the entertainer himself, a very good song writer and recording star, so we may put him up on stage while there. You can sample his music and learn about him at www.erichester.com or www.slothtrop.com. He’s a good’un. We bought him a guitar when he was about 10 years old, I think it was, and the boy ain’t put it down since. I would hold him in my arms when he was a baby, as we were practicing for my gospel quartet in those days. He would sing at the top of his voice and kick his foot in time with the music…He is not singing gospel…yet..but it is his roots…he will get there…Well, dad-gum, I kind of got side lined again just thinking about that boy….Anyway, we gonna be in Branson and I need you to guest write for me. You can do that by clicking on the comment in any one of the postings and tell our group of followers what is going on…You want to?….I don’t have a laptop now-a-days so I will grab a computer on the road if I can. I might do another post tonight…I read today about our debt, now over a trillion, and I want to talk about that…Scary, ain’t it..I probably should just stay home and worry about that,… well, listen, you worry about that for me for a few days and I will take it up when I get back…shucks, on second thought, don’t you worry about it either…Ain’t a dang thing we can do about it, is there?

Pete,
President Obama has the Nobel Peace Prize. If we can survive until December, he will pay the national debt. Once upon a time, we could say that; but the national debt has grown so large now that it would take the entire Alfred Nobel endowment to pay it, and that may not be enough. Anyway, congratulations to Barack. He couldn’t bring the Olympics to Chicago; but, at least, he got the Nobel Peace Prize. Perhaps he and big Al can combine their Peace Prizes and pay the national debt, especially since neither of them deserved it.
By the way, Pete, if you get tired of all those shows and good food in Branson, come down to Bryant to see us. We are only a short three-hour drive almost due south of Branson. If you come, be sure to come before the 17th because that is when we will be leaving for the beautiful North Carolina mountains.
Wish we had time to come to Bryant, but it is going to be a quick visit there, and then on to other things already planned. Maybe next trip we can come to Bryant. Thanks for the offer. Pete
