Can you believe the way Washington throws around numbers? I have said before that I do not own a calculator that will compute numbers that high. Eight digits is as high as mine will go. Ms. Nancy P said to give the president what he wants that the cost of the new health care plan was only going to be a little over 1 trillion dollars for the first ten years. How much is that going to cost the taxpayer per year? I cannot figure because of my cheap calculator. I wish they would leave it alone, but that does not seem like it going to happen. But here is what I think we ought to do if it is going to happen, put a sur-charge on every thing sold…well no, say .01 % on every thing sold that is a luxury…high dollar cars, boats, planes, diamonds, gold, whiskey, smokes, Cuban cigars like our governor smokes, lottery tickets and chocolates….Yeah, I know that is not good either but, my brother, you and me are gonna pay no matter what…anyway, it is just a thought….well, ok, maybe that’s not such a great idea….But a trillion dollars? And that’s just the health care…Can we survive long with such a heavy debt? Better said, can our grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive such a heavy debt? Geez…fiction writing is so much less worrisome…which reminds me, I have a couple of characters up in the hills waiting on me to write them down…Man, life is rough…

Yes, I will write more on this, however, with my limited knowledge little will be gained by my writing. But, like most folks, when you get something off your chest you can breath easier for a little while. Thanks for your comments. Pete

I’m with Congressman Grayson of Florida. The best healthcare plan is to stay healthy. That is what he really meant when he said that the Republican healthcare plan was to just let old people die. That is what happens when one is no longer healthy. At that point, it is time to die. This is why it pays to be religious, specifically to be a Christian. We all will come to that point in life sooner or later. In the meantime, the best helthcare plan is to be healthy. Let Mrs. Nancy and Harry stew in their own juice. In Harry’s case, his juice will likely come to a boil in 2010 (or 2009) when the voters in Nevada will send him into retirement. There he can take advantage of his failed healthcare plan.
You heard it first here folks. A new Congressman from the state of Nevada in 2010..Thanks for announcing it here. I agree with healthy and I eat healthy foods, just big servings, you know what I mean???
