Executive’s Bonus

If you hire me as your company’s Executive Director and promise me a big bonus if I am successful, it is only fair and right that you do as you said and pay me the bonus. If I am unsuccessful, then you should fire me or determine a fair amount of time for me to correct any problems and if I can correct them and then turn the company around, a bonus may be in order. But, if I have done so poorly that the Federal Government has to step in to save our company, there is no way any executive or other management personnel is deserving of a bonus. Some of the rank and file personnel might be due one because of putting up with the sorry decisions of management, but certainly not the executive people. Yet, that is happening to companies the government has bailed out. That’s not right…Taxpayer money to bail out the company and taxpayer money to unsuccessful executives who have been promoted to their highest level of incompetence and we still reward them with a bonus…..Please, take all that bonus money and put it in the treasury….Somewhere down the line our government is going to have to smarten up…..Reckon?….Yeah, that is asking a lot ……However, some of us voters put them in there…both sides of the asile…
