Do you know me? Or Major Hasan?

Readers, here is my question. Having read my posts over a period of time, do you feel you know me or anything about me? I’m not talking about my very inner most self, but about my outward nature and what my general make up as a person is….I think you do…The things I write about and the way I say things are a dead give away to who I am…..How could a major in the United States Army, subject to many interviews by his superiors, slip through the interviews and testings and all of that to end up shooting our young soldiers and doing it on an Army Post? There is such a thing as letting people get away to too much, us being too politically correct, don’t you think….Seems to me like someone should have smelled something fishy about that guy many, many, months ago…What are we missing?…I suppose it was his uniform, huh?…We just naturally respect that, don’t you reckon?

Great article . Will definitely copy it to my site.Thanks.

Thank you.

Radical Muslim! These two words express the difference between Pete and Maj. Hassan. Sure! The Army saw it in the Major, but the Army is forced into a sort of “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy insofar as one’s religion is concerned. This is especially true when one’s religion is Muslim where, in Western society, often experiences ridicule because of it. I feel that the solution lies in more homogeneity in both the military and in society; but, then, where does that leave the Muslim, especially the radical ones. I suppose they could go to Iran, if only Iran would have them.

Thanks, Errol and I agree with your assessment. However, when you put the lives of others at stake over religious concerns it may be time to not let that faction serve in the military, don’t you think? I think sometimes you have to ask “are you loyal to the United States Government and are to willing to fight for our form of government?” Yes or No. We all know why we are free and we have been united in that effort since our formation as a government…We cannot change that concept now, can we?

Pete,

You once took an oath to the United States Government when you entered the Air Force. I remember well the moment I took it. It was on a very hot and a very blue June day at the induction center in Montgomery, Alabama. It was a blue day because I thought I was going off to war in Viet Nam. This was before the Weapons Lab, the Goat Farm, Albuquerque, and all the sheep, both living and dying. I’m sure that Barack Obama must have taken the same oath. So did Kareem Shora, Arif Alikhan, Janet Napolitano, and many other of the Chicago Mafia who are now in high places in our government. It must not mean as much in the 21st century as it did in the 20th because I was ready to go to Viet Nam. I didn’t want to, but I was ready.

In one small way, Barack was very candid and honest. He is bringing us change. If we don’t wake up, capitulation and conversion will occur without firing a shot. I do hope that Kareem Shora and Arif Alikhan are not “devout Muslims”. It will be much better if they are merely like “backslidden baptist” or “backseat baptist”.

Your comment is well written and well taken, at least by me and I have no quarrel with that assessment. I just hope our fellow Americans are listening. Sometimes it takes a lot to wake us up, but once awoken, we will take care of business
