I have to say, this guy pretty much covers it all!

Pastor Valton Douglas, shares some powerful thoughts concerning Donald Trump:

“I’ve heard too many say lately that we, the American people have no
choice in this November election! Do you really think that God would
leave us with no choice! Come on people! Where’s your faith!! He has
heard our cries!

In defense of Donald Trump : Try to keep this in mind, Donald Trump
did not steal your money. Donald Trump did not raise your taxes.
Donald Trump did not quadruple the price of food. Trump is not
starting a race war. Trump did not leave any US soldiers in Benghazi
to be slaughtered and desecrated by Muslims.

Trump did not send the US Navy to fight for Syrian Al-Qaeda. Trump did
not arm ISIS and systematically exterminate Christians throughout the
Middle East. Trump did not betray Israel. Trump did not provide
financing and technology to Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Trump did
not give our military secrets to China. Trump did not remove our
nuclear missile shield in Poland at the behest of Russia.

Trump did not shrivel our military, and betray our veterans. Trump did
not cripple our economy. Trump did not increase our debt to 20
trillion dollars. Trump did not ruin our credit, twice. Trump did not
double African American unemployment. Trump did not increase welfare
to a record level for eight years.

Trump did not sign a law making it legal to execute, and imprison
Americans. Trump did not set free all of terrorists in Guantanamo bay.
Trump did not steal your rights, violate US Constitutional law, or
commit treason, hundreds of times.

Yet Trump is being ripped apart in the news, non stop. Barrack Hussein
Obama, Hillary Clinton and the criminals occupying our government, did!
The media is the Democratic Party. Save our culture. Stop listening to them..!!

Wheelchair Bound Folks…..

I used to travel a lot via air…mostly in the southwest but I was in a lot of airports waiting for boarding. A person confined to a wheelchair once told me that when she was in a airport she became invisible. No one seemed to notice her and would avoid even eye contact. That stuck with me. So I made a point when in a boarding area with a person confined to a wheel chair with no one waiting with them just to say hello and ask if I could get them anything. I don’t think I was ever asked to do anything, but it did open up conversation and give them someone to visit with. Let me ask you to consider doing that…Speak to those people in stores, in wheel chairs trying to get stuff off shelves and such….It may not help them all that much but it will sure lift your own heart more than I can tell you…..I had a good conversation with a fellow in a wheel chair yesterday and he was in wonderful spirits and he made me feel lots better…..

I have read this guy for several years now, including today in the Albuquerque Journal, September 7, 2016, “Dems no better on immigration”. For one, he does not call us Americans, he calls us white people. He talks about us white people picking on the illegals coming through our southern borders as if we were the bad guys. Then when we catch the illegals we are  even worse for sending them home and putting them in jail….. His message is today regarding Hillary Clinton’s statement, “tell me with whom you walk and I will tell you who you are.” Mr. Navarrette agrees with her. I agree with her. So, how about you, Ruben, do you walk with us Americans or do you walk with the illegals? Do you support open borders, welfare to all comers, becoming the United States of America/Mexico. Tell us Mr. Navarrette, with whom do you walk. Our paper money is getting worse by the minute and before to much longer the bills are going to have to be paid. We, America, has just about borrowed itself out. Clinton or Trump….I have made my choice…But, sir, you need to make yours. Maybe Mexico would be better suited for you. Maybe you can convince the Mexican President to pay his peon better wages and the flow northward would then stop. But then those peon would not be in the USA sending money back to Mexico to the tune of several billion dollars a year. But please act quickly, the  federal presses are about to run out of  paper.

In the “Health” page in the Sunday Albuquerque Journal, Aug 28, 2016 there is an article, “Dozens hospitalized as several states hit with spikes in heroin overdoses”. One of the facts stated that in Cincinnati, Oh there was an estimated 78 overdoses in two days. Emergency rooms estimated that they had 174 suspected opiold overdose cases this week, including 3 deaths. The article goes on and on telling of the terrible results from taking tainted heroin. Heroin in and of itself is bad enough but the stuff in the states of Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia has apparently been mixed with carfentanil, a drug used to sedate elephants. This drug is 100 times more potent that fentanyl, which is suspected of several spates of overdoses in several states…… This article may have been in your paper also and you can probably hit your search engine and read the whole story. I put it in here just in case…..I don’t think any of you folks use it, but its dangerious and word should be put out about this ugly stuff. The article said that 47,055 people died from drug overdoses in the United States in 2014. In 2015, 3050 people were killed in Ohio from overdoses…..what a waste of lives. Of course, as with any addiction saying “don’t do it” is a waste of your time. Still, one hates to sit by and say nothing……

If I walk down the street of Albuquerque with a gun in my hand, there is a good chance that I am going to be shot by police, especially if I turn toward one of them, and the gun is only slightly pointed in their direction. And I know that before I take the gun to town. Most any sane man or woman knows that. So why would a man in any city in the US of A do that….And when that man is black, say what you will,  he is really daring the police to confront him…it will happen. So he is shot and then there is a riot, looting, burning, injuries, protesting for days, disrupting the town’s businesses for several days…Time and time again we see this process. Ferguson, Baltimore, Milwaukee, Dallas, Baton Rouge or Albuquerque…You cannot do that. And the black folks  say, (most of the time), police were to blame, even though it happens in high crime areas where the highest percentage of the criminal element in that area are also black. (You can fuss at me for that statement, but check it out, that’s the way it is.) Police are not just going to let some fellow shoot them, it ain’t gonna happen. So when you have a gun, walking down the street on a Saturday night, black or white, chances are pretty good you are going to get into trouble….COUNT ON IT…..No riot can be justified because of your actions.  It is not the police’s fault. That is why they are there….They have to get that person with the gun off the street..

Even though our monsoon is here, it is not a moment to soon. Water levels in our largest lake are lower than they have been in years, some where around 1958 the paper said. Drought has played a major part of that and irrigation has been the other major player. We have to turn loose the part we owe Texas every year and they are very picky when we don’t turn loose the proper amount. But, our monsoon will save us maybe, if we are lucky. We doubled our rainfall in a couple of days last week. We are now about 2.61 inches locally on the year….amounts vary depending on what part of the state you are talking about, but we have not had major amounts anywhere. Yeah, I know, 2.61 inches is just a shower back in the south and east. … IF the monsoon will last a month or so and drop rain along the Rio Grande Valley every day or two, maybe we can get our lake back up to its glory days. Fishing and boating, especially on the holidays and during the summer is very important in this area, Albuquerque on down to El Paso. Visitors turnout into the thousands on a holiday weekend….. Come on rain…..

 

Can we move on from slavery?

I’m 80 years old and have never owned a slave. My daddy died when he was 93 years old, born and died in Alabama and he never owned a slave. My grandpa died when he was 75 years old, born and died in Alabama and he never owned a slave. My great grandpa was born and died in Alabama, fought in the Civil War and he never owned a slave as far as I can tell. I do not believe in slavery nor do I believe that my forefathers believed in slavery. Why was slavery brought up last night for this years elections. It sounded so much like playing the race card. You are free….free…you can vote….we have a black president. I’m all for us Americans…God loves you…I love you…..We are free….Can we get away from the slavery issue? 150 years ago?…… If we can’t, we may have major problems in this nation…..We have got to move on…

Decision Time Is November…Learning Time Is Now

If you are like me, politics is not your thing. Watching and listening to all the bs being spread around by both major political parties is so blah to me. I admit it. I really had rather do almost anything else. However, how can I make a decision in November without learning as much as I can about both candidates without listening to the bs? I need to make the very best decision I can, so I need to listen and learn. I don’t like either candidate. Hillary is a big fat zero in my books. Trump is all ego and knee jerk reactions. Yet…..I’ve got to choose one or the other. So do you.  We need to listen and learn now.

Write, write, you writing man, turn out the words, you know you can, write about riding and rustling and stuff, about gunmen and flozzies, spittoons a’float: about shoot outs on main street, and jail breaks and hanging, horses a bucking; write something, oh wordsmith, just don’t leave us dangling.

There are some words in there somewhere, I just got to put them together. Let me see, horses, rye whiskey, corrals, damn sheep herders and farmers, barb wire fences,  tumblesweeds, by golly, I think I”m getting it……

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence?
Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died.
Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.
Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.
They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.
What kind of men were they?
Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated, but they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.
Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his Ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags.
Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.
Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.
At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters.
He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.
Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.
John Hart was driven from his wife’s bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished. Some of us take these liberties so much for granted, but we shouldn’t.
So, take a few minutes while enjoying your freedom and silently thank these patriots. It’s not much to ask for the price they paid.
Remember: freedom is never free!
